Arrangements are now being finalized by HCC 2009 for conducting of 23rd Asia Area Convention in Colombo Sri Lanka from 31st July to 2nd August 2009.

Prior to the AAC, the 35th ICM will also take place at a Resort, 35 kms away from Colombo while the Youth Convention will also start on 29th July and go on until 2nd August 2009. The Youth Convention will be held at a beach side resort in greater Colombo.

Registration forms for both the AAC & Youth Convention are now online and can be accessed through http://www.srilankaysmen.org/.

Registration for the AAC is US$ 275 and this fee will cover up & down airport transfers, convention material, a city tour and all main meals & snacks (Lunch, Dinner & tea/coffee breaks) from Lunch on 31st July until lunch on 2nd August.
Registration for the Youth Convention is US$ 325 and this fee covers up and down airport transfers, convention material and full board (accommodation and all meals & snacks) from Lunch on July until Lunch on 2nd August 2009.

The official Convention Hotel is Cinnamon Grand Hotel which has received the Presidential Award, the 2nd time around for the best 5 star city hotel. A very attractive package for accommodation has been offered by the hotel as well as other 5 & 4 star hotels within a 10 minutes walk to the Cinnamon Grand.

A very special incentive package is being offered to RDs who will qualify for 2 nights free stay during the days of the Convention at a listed Convention Hotel of their choice if they bring in 30 registrations.

Some of the special features of the AAC 2009 will be the installation of IP Kevin Cummings and provision for RDs to lead devotions in their own language.

Sri Lanka Region has the fullest support and backing for this event from the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and Tourist Board and Ministry. The Conventions Bureau has already given publicity to the event through their weekly newsletter "Sri Lanka Calling" which they are now mailing electronically weekly to all Y's Men who have e-mail contact.
